Today is the two-year anniversary… or birthday… of FredHQ!

This year saw a couple of new projects added: MBTA Alerts is working again, I released version 2 of Roundabout, and added a couple of other small projects like ShortCup’d and Browser Silhouette Icons.

Also this year, I opened up the FredHQ shop with Drawn (Set One), a set of hand-drawn icons that people can buy for just under $20.

Outside of the site, a number of well-known sites continue to link to here. I also recently reported that my three TextMate themes are now bundled with TextMate 2's Theme Bundler. Not bad at al.

Numbers-wise, things have been great: visits are up, pageviews are up, time on site is up, and the bounce rate is down. Here’s where I came out for this year:

  • 289,687 Visits (+35.3% over last year)
  • 195,965 Absolute Unique Visits (+28.3% over last year)
  • 989,066 Pageviews (+51.6% over last year)
  • 3.41 Average Pageviews (+11.8% over last year)

The more I write on here about various topics, the more people come here to read things and click around to other parts of my site. I think the site homepage is starting to feel a bit lacking, so that may be my next project around here.

All-in-all: everything is in the green and that’s fantastic. I have a bunch of ideas lined up for this year, let’s see if I have time to get to any of them!
