It’s been a long time coming, but just in time for the second anniversary of Roundabout’s release (tomorrow), I’m releasing Roundabout v2!

What Made It In

  • Completely Rewritten
  • Autoplay
  • Drag & Drop
  • More Events
  • More Options
  • Animation Callbacks
  • More Callable Methods
  • A Whole Bunch of Bug Fixes

And More!

Roundabout now comes with a couple of new demos to give you some ideas, as well as a new tutorials section that will be expanded as I have time to write more of them.

While the documentation will still be hosted on this site (in the same place as it was before), the project now has an issue tracker and repository over on GitHub.

Oh, also, Roundabout Shapes got an update to version 2 to be compatible with the new version of Roundabout. It’s now also hosted over at GitHub.

This release is the culmination of many months of work after-hours, on weekends and around our new daughter. People around here have been very patient of me (and I still haven’t found a way to explain to my wife that I’m giving it away for free). But after all of that work, I’m so proud of what I’m putting out today (and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way).

So please, take a look. If you’re using Roundabout v1.1 (or earlier), you’ll want to upgrade to v2.0 as those versions are no longer supported. If you’ve emailed me in the last couple of months and I haven’t wrote back, I’m very sorry. I thought this was going to be out sooner.

Now get out there and make things move!
